Small town called Nikiana is located 9km from the capital city Lefkas and 4km from Lygia, when you continue driving towards Nidri, at the foothill of the mountain Skaros.
Nikiana is a lovely fishing village, increasingly popular in recent years, but still suitable for tourists who prefer peaceful holidays with family. It consists of one street that goes along the highway and in which are located several shops restaurants, and a small port with a numerous sailing boats, several restaurants and cafes.
Swimming Most of the small sandy pebble beaches in Nikiana are unspoiled with calm pleasantly refreshing waters. In most of them you can rent umbrellas and loungers. Take your flip-flops, a hat, and a towel, and follow the main road until you find your desired location for the day.
The most famous beach with a beach bar and restaurant is 50 metres away from Athilia.
Limni beach, located just 50 meters from Nikiana’s harbour, is a great spot for families and friends to gather, chat, and unwind. Sea is always calm and shallow.
Porto Katsiki, Egremni, and Kathisma are the most famous Lefkada beaches, while Agios Ioannis and Vassiliki are great places for windsurfing and other watersports.
